1. Get the app
Download OrbitalNote for your device. Extract the desktop archive before opening the app, or install the Android APK. The app is free and you don’t need an account.
Need a hand with a first-launch prompt? Start with installation.
2. Choose a home for your notes
On desktop, choose Open folder… and select a folder for your notebook. You can create an empty folder in your file manager first, or open an existing folder of Org files.
On Android, you can start in the private notebook. Recent previews also let you link a folder through the system folder picker. See Android storage before choosing where your notes live.
3. Write your first note
Choose New note, name it Inbox, and select its destination folder. OrbitalNote adds the .org extension. Use this as a place to catch anything you don’t want to forget.
