Bring your tasks together
Open Agenda to see tasks from the current workspace. Use views such as today, upcoming, overdue, and all tasks, then narrow by tags or state. Save a view when it reflects a useful slice of your work.
Complete a task directly or open its note for more context. Use Cmd/Ctrl + E in Agenda to switch to the quieter reading/minimal presentation; New task is unavailable in that presentation.
Give your plan some space
The calendar has day, week, month, and year views. A date without a time can represent a day-level plan; a timestamp with a time becomes a timed event. Click a date or use the task form to add work.
Drag a supported event to reschedule it. The underlying Org timestamp changes, so your calendar and source stay connected. Projected repeating occurrences are not individually draggable; edit the underlying task instead.
Plan beside your notes
Keep Calendar or Agenda in one pane and your note in another. Drag a tab to split the window, or use a note’s split actions. With a split present, planner task links can open a note in another pane and leave the planner visible.
Tags can carry colors into the planner. Adjust calendar/tag colors and choose a 12- or 24-hour clock in Settings.
If something doesn’t appear
- Confirm you opened the workspace that contains the task.
- Check its task state, schedule, deadline, and current date range.
- Clear tag or state filters and any saved view.
- Remember that a checklist item inside a note is not an independent TODO heading.
For recurring work, future projections refer back to the original task. See repeating tasks.
